Northwest Nootropics – Evergreen Review
Over the past few years, dozens and dozens of nootropic blends have hit the market. The thing that separates Northwest Nootropics’ Evergreen from the rest is its simplicity. That’s why I’ve decided to write up this Evergreen review.
Evergreen only has three ingredients, all three of which are well researched and known to be effective. Most nootropic blends have many ingredients, which makes it hard to know what ingredient is having what effect. With only three ingredients, this isn’t a problem.
The three ingredients found in Evergreen are rhodiola rosea, bacopa monnieri, and alpha-gpc. One serving (2 capsules) contains 300 mg of bacopa leaf powder, 300 mg of rhodiola root powder, and 150 mg of alpha-gpc. Each bottle contains thirty servings.
Rhodiola Rosea – a plant that can improve mood, focus, memory, and other aspects of cognitive functioning. Some effects may be noticeable after the first dose, but others can take weeks to be noticeable.
Alpha-GPC – a natural choline compound and precursor to the neurotransmitter acetylcholine. May improve memory, focus, and other aspects of cognitive functioning on its own but works best when taken with other nootropics.
As expected, I didn’t notice much after my first dose of Evergreen – or second, third, or fourth. But, after a few days of taking Evergreen, my mood became noticeably brighter.
The memory-enhancing effects didn’t really take hold until after a couple weeks. These effects were subtle but certainly noticeable.
Sometimes I have trouble remembering names but, after taking Evergreen for a couple weeks, I found it easier to remember them. My memory recall seemed to be noticeably improved.
I also noticed a slight reduction in anxiety. This and the mood-brightening effect were both very subtle, but noticeable. I’d say that these effects were noticeable after two full weeks of taking Evergreen.
Northwest Nootropics is a relatively new company and, as of right now, they only have this one product available. Their website doesn’t have much info, other than a place to purchase Evergreen. Hopefully, they’ll add more products and information about the company in the future.
Would I recommend Evergreen? To some people, yes. To others, no.
If you’re relatively new to the world of nootropics and are looking for something mild and safe, then yes. I would especially recommend it to anyone who is looking for a slight reduction in anxiety and improvement in mood.
However, if you’ve already tried more than, say, ten different nootropics, you’ll probably be disappointed with Evergreen. Its ingredients are mild compared to many other nootropics.
All three ingredients have extensive research behind them to support their safety and effectiveness. This makes Evergreen an excellent first choice for anyone wanted to get their feet wet with nootropics.
The only negatives about Evergreen are that it takes a couple weeks to start working and you can’t alter the ratio of ingredients. Some nootropics work right away, which is what a lot of people are looking for. They don’t want to have to take something every day for weeks for it to start working. Many nootropics work this way, but there are others that work after one dose.
Like all nootropic blends, Evergreen has a fixed ratio of ingredients: 300 mg of bacopa, 300 mg of rhodiola, and 150 mg of alpha-gpc. As far as these three nootropics go, Northwest Nootropics seems to have picked a science-based ratio. That is, they used similar amounts to what has been shown to be safe and effective in scientific studies.
Some people would prefer to purchase these three ingredients separately, so they can choose how much of each to take. With Evergreen (and all nootropic formulas), you obviously can’t do this.
Overall, I liked Evergreen and am glad that I tried it. It’s something that I may consider taking again in the future. I wasn’t planning on writing this Evergreen review before I tried it, but was so impressed with this simple and effective nootropic blend that I decided to after.
Evergreen can be purchased on Amazon.
