As a trusted leader in the nootropics world since 2014, the Nootropics Zone often gets asked to review businesses, products, and websites. Not surprisingly, some names come up more often than others. In this nootropics.com review, we're going to look at one of the most-frequently requested sites we're asked to discuss.
With a domain name like nootropics.com, it's not hard to imagine why we get so many requests to review it. But just because a company has a great domain name doesn't mean it's necessarily a good company. In this nootropics.com review, we're going to take an honest, accurate look at this popular nootropic seller. But before we get to the actual review, let's see what nootropics.com is.
What Is Nootropics.com?
This is a business (with quite the enviable domain name) that sells a handful of different nootropics. While several other nootropic vendors offer a much-wider variety of products, the ones nootropics.com sell are among the most popular. They've been around since at least 2016 and are quite popular, especially among people who are just getting into nootropics.
Nootropics.com is a British company, though they ship worldwide. Ironically, due to ridiculous government policies, nootropics.com can't ship to the United Kingdom. However, they can ship to the United States and to many other countries around the world. Nootropics.com is owned by Cerelux UK, Ltd, a company located in Brighton, England.
Now before we get to our nootropics.com review, let's dive into the specifics of this company.
Nootropics.com Website
The nootropics.com website is simple and easy to use. You should have no problem finding all the products and information you're looking for. With such a small catalog of products, it's impossible not to find what you're looking for.
The front page at nootropics.com gives some information about the company's virtues as well as links to their products page, frequently-asked questions (FAQ), and a detailed article about what nootropics are. Their FAQ covers questions about the companies policies while the article talks about nootropics. It goes over many (but not all) of the same topics that we cover in our own Nootropics FAQ.
In the top menu, there are a few options: Shop, FAQ, About Us, Blog, My Account, and your shopping cart. When you click About Us, you'll find a short description of the company's vision, their team members, and a few paragraphs outlining their business approach. Under Blog you'll find – you guessed it – the company's blog. It's filled with informative articles about a number of nootropic-related topics.
At the bottom of the page you'll find things like their Privacy Policy, Terms & Conditions, Shipping & Returns, and how to Contact them. All the information you may want about this company is very easy to find. But if you don't find everything you're looking for, simply follow the instructions on their Contact page and nootropics.com will get back to you within 48 hours.
Products/Prices
As mentioned above, nootropics.com has a limited selection of products. At the time of this writing, they only offer 7 different nootropics. However, the nootropics that they do sell are all extremely popular and new-user friendly. Here are nootropics.com's products:
- Melatonin
- Adrafinil
- Aniracetam
- L-Theanine
- Noopept
- Tianeptine
- Noocaf Coffee
With Noocaf Coffee being the only exception, all of them come in capsule form. While some experienced nootropic users prefer powders, capsules are definitely more noobtropic friendly. Aside from the coffee which we'll get to in a minute, the only one of those nootropics that we haven't talked about on the NZ website is tianeptine. Perhaps we'll post about it in the future.
As for the coffee, what is it? Noocaf Coffee is a coffee blend that includes several nootropics, designed to increase focus and eliminate the jitters coffee can cause. It contains l-theanine, l-tyrosine, alpha-GPC, taurine, and vitamins B6 and B12. You can check out the Noocaf Coffee website here.
Lastly, how are nootropics.com's prices? They're a bit on the high side. You can find most (but not all) of the same nootropics at Pure Nootropics for significantly less. However, nootropics.com's simple website and attractive packaging keeps the customers rolling in. And all their products are tested for purity and you can view the certificates of authenticity (COA) for any of them on the website.
Payment Options
The payment options at nootropics.com include credit cards and Bitcoin (BTC). As far as credit cards, they accept Visa and MasterCard.
Shipping
Nootropics.com ships worldwide including the United States. However, there are some countries they can't ship to including the one their main office is located in: the United Kingdom. Other countries they can't ship to include Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Cuba, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Morocco, Norway, and Sweden.
If you're ordering from within the United States, you can expect to get your package within 2-7 days. Nootropics.com offers standard and expedited shipping. With standard shipping, it usually takes 4-7 business days to get your package. With expedited shipping, it takes 2-4 business days. International shipping can take anywhere from 7-20 business days depending on what country you're ordering from.
Now that we've taken a look at their website, products, prices, shipping, and payment methods, we can finally get to our nootropics.com review.
Nootropics.com Review
As always, I placed an order before writing this nootropics.com review. It wasn't hard to figure out what I wanted since they only have a handful of products. I decided to purchase their aniracetam capsules since it's been several years since I've used that particular nootropic.
Ordering from the nootropics.com website was a breeze. It's easy to add items to your cart and checkout. Some nootropic vendors offer a discount for paying with Bitcoin, but this one doesn't. So I just used my Visa card to pay. Easy breezy.
My package arrived four days after placing my order: three business days, technically. I have to say, nootropics.com's products have very attractive packaging. The labels are easy to read and the bottles are easy to open.
Like I said, it's been several years since I've used aniracetam. Of all the racetams that I've tried, aniracetam is one of my favorites. It helps me to focus, but not in a stimulated kind of way. It's a very calm sense of focus.
I don't know if it's just because I haven't used it in a long time or if nootropics.com's products are of superior quality to what I've used in the past, but the aniracetam worked great. I took just one capsule on an empty stomach and felt relaxed and focused for much of the day.
There's no question in my mind that nootropics.com has great products. Though I don't know from firsthand experience, I've also heard they have really good customer service. However, it's their prices that I don't love. You can get most of the same products at Pure Nootropics for much cheaper. Some products you can get there for literally half the price.
The only products nootropics.com sell that you can't get at Pure Nootropics are tianeptine and Noocaf Coffee. All the others are available at Pure Nootropics for less money. I've heard that tianeptine can be hard to find. So if that's something you're looking for, maybe nootropics.com is the way to go. However, for most nootropics, I'd suggest shopping at Pure Nootropics. You can read our review here: Pure Nootropics Review.
Conclusion
That concludes our nootropics.com review. While they are a legitimate nootropic vendor, their prices are much higher than their competitors. If they had a wider selection of products, maybe they could get away with it. But in my opinion, you're better off shopping elsewhere. But with a great domain name like nootropics.com, it's not hard to see why they get as much business as they do.
