People use nootropics for a variety of reasons. Some are trying to simply increase focus and improve memory. Others use them to treat the symptoms of depression, anxiety, and other disorders. Some use nootropics that are stimulating, others prefer ones that are calming.

Whatever your reason for using nootropics, there are a few tools that you should have. These are things that will make your life easier and improve your results. And the best part is that they're all common items that can be found on Amazon.

In this post, we're gonna discuss five tools that every serious nootropic user should have. While not everyone will find all five necessary, odds are you could benefit from at least one or two of these things.

1. A Scale

This one is incredibly important if you prefer to buy your nootropics in powder form. Trying to estimate or “eyeball” your dose can be very dangerous. This is especially true if you're using a nootropic that is measured in milligrams, like sunifiram.

5 Tools Every Serious Nootropic User Should Have 1Sunifiram is effective at dosages as low as just 5 milligrams (mg). It's impossible to measure out such a small amount without using a milligram scale. If you tried to estimate such a small dosage, you could end up taking several times more than you intended to. This, obviously, could potentially have very dangerous consequences.

Using a scale ensures that you're taking exactly the amount that you want. Of the five things on this list, having a scale is the most important. You always want to know exactly what you're putting into your body. By using a scale, you'll know precisely how much you're taking.

There are several scales for sale on Amazon. Different scales have different features and some cost a lot more than others. One of the least-expensive, highest-quality scales is the American Weigh Scales GEMINI-20. It's the one I personally use and have heard nothing but good things about it from others.

2. Shaker Cup

Shaker cups are great. Just ask any health and fitness enthusiast. Shaker cups are incredibly popular in the fitness and nutrition world because they allow you to quickly and easily whip up a healthy drink.

Before shaker cups came along, you'd have to put your protein powder and water in a glass and mix them with a spoon. This always resulted in a chunky, chalky shake no matter how long or hard you stirred it.

5 Tools Every Serious Nootropic User Should Have 2Then shaker cups came along and changed the game. You simply put your powder and liquid into the cup, seal it, and shake. A few seconds later, you've got a well-mixed drink, ready to go!

So, what does this have to do with nootropics? A lot of users like to mix their nootropics into a drink. This is especially true with things like kratom, which is often mixed with orange juice or Sunny D to disguise its strong taste.

Using a shaker cup to mix your nootropics will not only save you time and energy, it'll result in a well-mixed beverage. Once you start using a shaker cup, you'll wonder how you ever got by without one.

There are several brands of shaker cups out there and many of them are good. However, my personal favorite is the Blender Bottle. When you shake it, the ball inside works like a blender, breaking up all the chunks. It's great!

3. Empty Capsules

This one isn't going to appeal to everyone. But for those of you who prefer pills but can only find certain nootropics in powder form, making your own is a viable option.

You can buy empty capsules and fill them yourself. Just measure out your dose using your scale, pour it into an open capsule, and replace the top. Now you've got a capsule you can easily swallow or take with you for another time.

5 Tools Every Serious Nootropic User Should Have 3Buying and filling your own capsules can be great for when you're on the road. It's a lot easier to take out a capsule and pop it in your mouth than it is to pull out a bag of powder, measure out your dose, and do it that way. I can't even tell you how much kratom and ashwagandha powder I spilled all over my car before figuring out that it was smarter to make my own capsules.

Encapsulating your own nootropics can also be a huge time saver. Some people like to encapsulate a month or more's worth of nootropics at a time. That way, they're all ready and you don't have to worry about measuring out powders every day. They can just pop a pre-made capsule and go about their day.

There are a few different kinds of empty capsules on Amazon and they're all priced similarly. I like the caps from PurecapsUSA because they come in three different sizes.

4. Measuring Spoons

These are essential for anyone who buys any of their nootropics in powder form. Some nootropics are dosed in grams, like kratom and piracetam. For anyone who uses these types of nootropics, measuring spoons come in incredibly handy.

Take kratom, for example. Whenever I get a new batch of kratom, I measure out one perfectly-level teaspoon and put it on my scale. Since every batch can have a different weight-to-volume ratio, this lets me know how many grams are in the current batch. Once I get the number, I can just use the teaspoon for the remainder of the batch, knowing exactly how much is in it.

5 Tools Every Serious Nootropic User Should Have 4The last batch of kratom I bought, I measured out one level teaspoon as soon as I got it. Weighing it on my GEMINI-20 milligram scale (which goes all the way up to 20 grams), it said that it weighed exactly 2.5 grams. So now I knew that 1 tsp was equal to 2.5 g.

This makes measuring out your nootropics much easier and just as accurate as using a scale every time. If I wanted to take, say, 5 grams of kratom from that batch, I wouldn't have to take out my scale and weight it. I could simply measure out 2 level teaspoons. If I wanted to add another 1.25 grams to that, I could just add another half teaspoon.

Measuring spoons make it easy to conveniently prepare your dose without sacrificing accuracy. For powdered nootropic users, especially ones measured in grams, measuring spoons are a must.

There are tons of different brands of measuring spoons to choose from. The ones I use are a set of 6 from 1Easylife.
